The respondents were picked randomly and a total of 60 questionnaire were used to collect data from the respondents. This study revealed that access to micro-finance has contributed immensely to the economic empowerment of the women through improvement in their businesses. Besides, the study shows that access to micro-finance has improved the status of women both at family level and society as a whole.The study therefore recommends that micro-finance service providers should endeavor to extend more credit facilities to client to expend their businesses. Finally, micro-finance service providers should provide more training programs to women in order to improve their entrepreneurial skills and help reduce the problems which hinder their access to micro-finance.
